Crocodile’s Secret Base - Don't Ask Why the Crocodiles Spin

In this post, I will introduce Tamura Satoru's Don't Ask Why the Crocodiles Spin Exhibition. This exhibition was held on Maki Gallery in Omotesando. It was free. I didn't have to make a reservation. 

The theme of this exhibition is Crocodiles and there is no special meaning or message that the artist wants to convey. He just wants us to look at and enjoy them.

These are the exhibits. There are a lot of models of crocodiles around the room. They are colorful so when I entered the gallery, I felt they were cute, but at the same time I felt the space was weird because many crocodiles were spinning slowly. I couldn't record a video so I can't show you how they span.

Tamura Satoru doesn't want us to ask why the crocodiles spin and I knew that but I couldn't help wondering about the reason when I was looking at them. He said, "I thought about why the crocodiles spin when I made them, but I didn't find the reason so I think there is no reason. I'm not sure, but the mysterious situation that the crocodiles are spinning is the humor of my art. "
